**Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a full-time Plant Operator for an operations project in Muskegon, MI. The Plant Operator performs a wide range of mid-complex to complex tasks encompassing field assignments based on client requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant.
+ Complete minor routine maintenance of equipment.
+ Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
+ Apply a working knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out assignments and applying standard policies and procedures within specific discipline.
+ Operate facilities with computer or PLC controls.
+ Monitor, regulate, and adjust chlorinators, chemical feed pumps, and other process equipment.
+ Collect samples and perform routine in-lab tests as required.
+ Maintain a log of operations and maintenance activities and related records.
+ Operate system to maintain compliance with permit requirements.
+ Wash clarifiers, dissolved air flotation systems, contact basins, and operate sludge handling equipment and other process unit equipment as required.
+ Possess good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial facilities and the ability to make routine laboratory and field tests for control of plant operations.
+ Possibly operate a variety of equipment including forklift, aerial or scissor lifts, generator, compressors, pumps, etc.
+ Participate actively in creating a safety culture at the jobsite.
+ Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Project Delivery Manual (PDM), Employee Manual, and Corporate Health & Safety Manual.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma / Vocational training or equivalent.
+ Applicable health & safety training.
+ Typically, 5+ years of experience.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
+ Wastewater operator licenses preferred but not required.
+ Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
+ Ability to perform basic control laboratory testing and understanding and applying results.
+ Good record-keeping skills and comfort with computers and computer-controlled equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Capable of learning new operating, maintenance, analytical, or computer skills.

**Work Environment**
Bushy Park is a multi-divisional industrial complex located in Goose Creek, South Carolina (near Charleston). The site is home to several different chemical manufacturing companies. The central wastewater treatment plant is owned by DCL, the largest tenant at Bushy Park; they occupy nearly half of the production buildings at the site and are the single largest contributor to flow and organic loading on the wastewater treatment plant.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskegon, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
