Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineer

Freese and Nichols is currently searching for an experienced engineer with their PE license to join our Treatment, Transmission & Utilities team in Central Texas as a Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineer and/or Project Manager for our Austin or San Antonio, Texas office.

The Project Engineer will lead the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for various water and wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery facility projects. As a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, the candidate will have responsibility to lead the designs, manage scope, schedule, and budget, prepare client communications and conduct client meetings for the projects mentioned above.

Qualifications

Required:

4+ years of related water and wastewater treatment experience  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Environmental Engineering.  Texas Professional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong communication skills, written and verbal, and strong presentation and sales skills.  Mix of technical experience including but not limited to water and wastewater design of lift stations, pump stations, treatment plants, coordination of civil/structural/mechanical/electrical design, and construction contract administration and management.  Demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently.  As Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager: Proven ability to manage a multi-discipline design team and assign tasks to and review work of EITs.Proven ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, both internal and external, as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
