Water Conservation Specialist
Johnson Service Group is looking for a Water Conservation Specialist for one of our Clients in San Jose. This position primarily supports the Landscape Rebate Program and other water conservation initiatives through administrative tasks, special projects, and educational resource development. Responsibilities include researching and procuring sustainability tools, supporting contract development, enhancing outreach efforts, and assisting with policy evaluation and water supply planning.

Responsibilities: Utilize knowledge of sustainable landscaping and irrigation to develop and track educational resources and digital tools that encourage customer participation in LRP. Research and procure existing educational materials, negotiate product purchases, and support contract development (sole source and RFP) to ensure deliverables are met. Perform administrative duties and fieldwork to support LRP and related projects. Develop and implement special projects, such as: Outreach programs with local nurseries and irrigation companies. Establishing Continuing Education Unit standards for Landscape Committee attendees. Increasing Landscape Committee engagement and attendance. Creating Return-on-Investment calculators for program evaluation. Enhancing process improvement tools for LRP. Support the development, administration, and evaluation of water conservation and demand management programs. Collect and distribute program information, prepare reports, evaluate policies, and coordinate related activities. Assist in water supply planning efforts, including researching alternative water sources and conducting reliability analyses. 
Requirements: 
Strong skills in landscape design, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and irrigation efficiency best practices are required Customer Service MS office  QWEL certification, CA/NV AWWA Water Use Efficiency Grade I or higher, and similar certifications are desirable
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental studies, physical or biological sciences, horticulture, public administration, or a related field.
One (1) year of experience in administering or implementing water conservation and/or demand management programs. Directly related experience may substitute for the education requirement at a rate of 1.5 years of experience for each year of education, up to a maximum of four years. Valid California driver’s license. Pay rate: $43.60/hr. part-time 15-20 hours per work Hybrid
