The primary duties of the EITmayinclude:

Develop Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs) for rural Alaska drinking water and wastewater communities.Support the development of community drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater master plans.Prepare construction plans for water and wastewater systems.Write construction specifications for water and wastewater systems.Analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems. Create detailedhydraulicmodelsfor pump and pipe network designas well as water/wastewater treatment models for treatment plant design,Datacollection and entry, development, and analysis of models,calculations,writingtechnical reports, determining appropriate design methods,urban and remotefieldwork.Preparationof construction plansand specifications,andconstruction sitesupport andobservations.Project coordination (project/quality management plan development, updating project metrics, project controls, earned value)

Other duties of the EIT may include:

HH analyses and numerical modeling (riverine, scour)Coastal analyses and numerical modeling (wave, tide, storm surge, sediment transport).Culvert (including fish passage) analysis and design.Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with rural and/or remote communities in Alaska. Matlab and/or Python experience.EIT preferred, those hired without an EIT will be called W/WW Designer and expected to obtain EIT for career progression within the first year of hire.#LI-JM8Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field Engineer In Training (EIT) certificateInterest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systemsExperience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production toolsMicrosoft Office experienceMust be able to work in a team environmentAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
