Job Description

Job Summary:
The Employee will be required to perform analytical testing on different unit processes of the facility
with the primary focus of ensuring that the plant functions according to internal specifications, meeting
the client’s demands and all regulatory responsibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

Compile data from all testing and analysis of samplesDesign and execute laboratory testingObserve and interpret analytical dataRecord and manage all laboratory dataOrganize and store all laboratory chemicalsPrepare reports as required based on findings and in required time frameProperly use and maintain personal protective equipmentOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Preferred:

Ability to use a variety of laboratory equipment and chemicalsKnowledge of laboratory standards and regulationsKnowledge of proper laboratory analytical testing methods for wastewater samplesKnowledge of, and ability to comply with safety regulations and standardsKnowledge of standard laboratory principles, techniques, equipment and materialsAbility to troubleshoot and help determine causes of failed or negative trending results

Education & Experience
Required:

A diploma or Associate degree in ScienceAt least two (2) years relative work experience in a water treatment or chemical testing lab

Preferred:

A Bachelor degree in Science, Chemistry, or LaboratoryThree (3) years work experience in water treatment facility lab

Working Conditions

Frequent walking, standing, stooping, and bendingLift, carry, push and/or pull moderate amounts of weightBoth laboratory (80%) and plant (20%) work environmentsLess than 10% travel is expected
