HDR’s Water Business Group is seeking a team-oriented, hands-on marketing intern to assist with business development, marketing, and strategic efforts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, be able to work in a cross-functional environment and be willing to work both collaboratively and independently. Our team of architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) marketers is responsible for helping win new consulting work in the Washington State area, connecting our technical staff to our clients to solve challenges in the drinking water, wastewater, and water resource industry. This role will work with marketers, project managers, engineers, and other technical staff to research and collect data in the development of compelling proposal and brand messages. Work products could include developing project descriptions, resumes, proposals, presentations, brochures, and other marketing materials, as well as database management. These efforts require independent research, collaboration, technical writing, and creative thinking. Strong writing/composition, organizational, and people skills are essential, with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment. This position will require multiple priorities and the ability to handle concurrent assignments while maintaining quality.

In the role of Water Marketing Intern, we'll count on you to:Assist with maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, cataloging marketing assets, and other data driven tasksEdit, customize, and/or write project descriptions and staff resumesSupport the development and coordination of text and graphics and editing page layoutsShadow and assist marketing staff with the preparation of materials, including statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations, brochures, award submittals, and announcementsConduct research and produce documents and reportsFollow the company’s brand strategySupport other administrative duties as neededPreferred Qualifications2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA in studies related to Marketing, Communications, History, and EnglishDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteRequired Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programAttention to detail a mustMust possess strong problem-solving and communication skillsBasic Microsoft Office skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
