Martin Marietta is seeking a Water Plant Operator for our Irwindale location.
Position Summary
The Water Plant Operator is responsible for the plant's efficiency and production optimization while maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
Responsibilities
Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the taskCommunicates with project managers, foreman, loader operators and crew on a daily basisOperates plant equipment to regulate flow of water and mud thru pumps and dewatering equipment.Performs a variety of tasks assisting with the operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials as needed

Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habitsSelf-motivated and eager to learn new skillsPerform well in a “TEAM” environmentAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyWilling to work hours that are associated to the industry, including overtime and weekends as neededAbility to follow verbal and written instruction.Basic computer and mathematical skills. Minimum Education and Experience
Previous plant experience preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noiseAbility to lift 75 poundsMust be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Salary Posting:We are excited to share the base range for this position is $23.80-$38.10, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity.
