Responsibilities:
Serve as Chief Engineer for the current and future Water Resources Group in Raleigh and CharlotteDevelop and manage client relationshipsAssist Group Manager with staff, providing technical and professional development of the teamStrategize the expansion of water resources services in North Carolina and South CarolinaManage projects of varying sizes in both the public and private sectors, monitoring project financial performanceLead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issuesExecute project scopes for water resources projects, from feasibility studies to final PS&E packagesDevelop new project opportunities and assist in proposal submissionsCollaborate with Charlotte and Raleigh Leadership on strategies for the Transportation, Real Estate, State & Local Government, and Institutional market sectorsSkills and Attributes:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated with a proactive approachCapability to manage a multidisciplinary team of professionalsUnderstanding of policy directives and their impact on the marketplaceDetails-oriented with critical thinking skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize effectivelyProficiency in MS Office applicationsExperience working in a collaborative team environmentDemonstrated leadership skills and a strong work ethicThorough knowledge of local and state regulations governing water resources designFamiliarity with Charlotte and Mecklenburg County policies and practices in project delivery is a plus
Qualifications
BS in Civil/Environmental/Biological Engineering15 years of professional transportation engineering/planning experience including project managementProfessional (PE) license requiredProven success in the transportation, state & local government, real estate, and/or institutional market sectorsSubstantial technical and project management experienceKnowledge of NCDOT technical requirements and procedures and familiarity with South Carolina and North Carolina regulatory processesEmbrace the opportunity to lead and grow within a company that prioritizes innovation and excellence.
