The LCRA River Operations Center is looking for an engineer to support our water supply and flood operations to join our team! We are located in the Redbud Center in Austin, TX. You will be working with our team of engineers and hydrologists, directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the Highland Lakes and Dams in water supply operations and flood events. This position will use your education and experience in the stewardship of the water resources of the lower Colorado River. You will be trusted to:
- Compile and analyze large hydrologic and water use data sets, generate reports and respond to data requests.
- Develop performance measures and tools to evaluate and optimize operations.
- Write technical reports and procedures.
- Review technical plans, proposals, reports, and studies.
- Provide support for flood operations.
You qualify with:
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
- Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- High proficiency with Excel, including complex formulas, data retrieval, and charts
- Experience with hydrologic models including RiverWare
- Experience in database management and SQL
- Experience with state and federal agencies dealing with water including TWDB, TCEQ, USGS, and USACE.
- Knowledge of Texas water law
