Water Resources Engineer - 4-10 Years of Experience

You will join a strong technical staff to lead design efforts on both public and private client projects across the US. On any given day, you’ll: + Hydraulic design of bridges over rivers and scour countermeasures for highway, bridge and flood control projects. + Analyze river and floodplain hydraulics and hydrology. + Design stream stability enhancements and stream restoration. + Design culverts and drainage facilities for highway projects. + Design stormwater-focused civil engineering projects including stormwater systems, trenchless rehabilitation, rivers and open channel systems, and other public infrastructure. + Lead design efforts on public and private client projects. + Lead presentations and project meetings with the client and public. + Assist with developing scopes for proposals and maintaining client relationships. + Coordinate and oversee construction activities on various types of projects. + Gather and analyze data on stormwater or river engineering projects and prepare reports, plans and specifications, and cost estimates. + Work with both private and public clients for various projects. + Collaborate with nationally recognized project teams involved in complex river engineering and bridge hydraulics projects. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; master’s degree in related field is desirable. + Professional Engineer registration. + 4-10 years of progressive experience on water resource projects. + Experience in design and construction projects for public and private sector clients. + Experience and interest in bridge hydraulics and scour analysis and scour countermeasure design. + Skilled in hydrologic and/or hydraulic analysis, especially with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling software (RAS2D or SRH2D), HEC-RAS, WMS, EPA-SWMM or HEC HMS. CFD a plus. + Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Desired skills and experiences: + River and floodplain analysis using HEC-RAS or two-dimensional hydraulic modeling. + Experience in bridge scour program support. + AutoCAD Civil3D experience. + GIS experience. + Interest in developing clients, obtaining new work, and project management. + Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. + Ability to conduct effective client presentations. + Ability to work effectively independently and with other team members in multiple offices. + Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations related to civil improvement projects. Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $80000 - $120000. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity.
