Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a Water Resources EIT/Engineer to join our team.
Your Key Responsibilities Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for transportation and environmental projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&SC controls. Provide technical assistance to the transportation and environmental teams in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analyses. Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies. Assist in plan development and cost estimating. Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones. Participate in field work as needed. Your Capabilities and CredentialsThe candidate must have these basic qualifications/requirements:
Experience working for state, county, and municipal transportation agencies, preferably in the Mid-Atlantic region. Understanding of transportation and permitting agency design manuals, standards, and procedures, preferably in the Mid-Atlantic region. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience including but not limited to TR-55, TR-20, PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, or similar. Proficient using Bentley CAD programs including MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and ProjectWise. Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam.Preferred capabilities/skills that will assist the candidate in succeeding in the role are:

Education and Experience Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
