Join VHB’s expanding Water Resources teamas a Water Resources Engineer/Designer and make a significant impact! We’re seeking a skilled professional to collaborate with our expert team on cutting-edge projects in stormwater management, hydrology and hydraulics analysis, culvert and bridge design, and resiliency efforts. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions that drive sustainable development in water resources, ecological restoration, transportation, and environmental projects. Responsibilities
Lead tasks under the supervision of the project manager on multi-disciplinary projects with hydrologic, hydraulic, stormwater design or water quality focus including interaction with staff and clientsPrepare and review stormwater management and natural system design drawings and specificationsPrepare technical reports, plans and specificationsDevelop project proposals, scopes of work and fee estimatesAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues with themMentor junior staff in both technical and professional aspectsResponsible for project task management including task financial performanceQualifications
BS in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources engineering or related discipline3+ years of professional water resources engineering and analysis experienceExperience preparing design plans & specifications, and preparing technical reportsExperience with task management and people management/mentoringExperience with hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling and stormwater policy and permitting preferredEIT/PE licensure preferredProficiency with relevant software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, Microsoft Word and ExcelWe are VHB!
