Job Description
Seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to support various projects in Ohio and Michigan. Our water resources professionals specialize in critical practice areas, understand watershed dynamics, and offer an extensive range of water resource planning and design experience, flood risk management, dam safety, and environmental compliance. Our holistic approach to water resources projects ensures the best outcome for our clients and the ecosystem. This individual can sit anywhere in Ohio and work remotely with occasional site visits. The ideal candidate will sit near Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus, or Cincinnati.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval by the department manager.Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development.Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables, and manpower needed on projects.Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-determined goal.Solicit help and involvement from managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.Mentor staff in learning sound technical and business practices, and enhancing corporate objectives.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering8+ years related work experienceCurrent PE license or ability to obtain licensePrior experience with Ohio DNR and public/private dams is strongly preferredKnowledge of Ohio state regulationsProficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, or geotechnical analysis in stability evaluations and seepage analysesPrior experience with preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets, and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the businessAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydraulics, Stormwater, Hydrological Analysis, Environmental EngineeringThe ideal candidate will bring clients from previous roles, but this is not a requirement.Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $146000.00
