GENERAL DESCRIPTIONChemTreat sales support opportunities are specific to water treatment and require an individual with knowledge applicable to the industry. This water treatment technician position is focused on maintaining the profitability of assigned customer accounts by performing ongoing monitoring and correction to prescribed water treatment programs at assigned accounts. Individuals are required to apply basic water treatment applications and solutions, while reporting results to ChemTreat Account Managers and plant operators.Qualified individuals in this role are expected to offer professional and high-quality customer service at all times. Further, they need to have familiarity with performing basic water testing, taking measurements, and documenting results.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIESRoutinely visit assigned accounts to perform water treatment analysis and inspect equipmentInspect assigned customer systems according to contractual requirementsBuild customer relationship and interface with plant operatorsEscalate treatment program problems and out of spec results to direct supervisor for resolutionUtilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean working conditionConsistently calibrate pumps and perform repairs that restore chemical feedsMonitor product feed rates and their relative impact on the water sample and make necessary adjustments to treatment program when gaps are detectedSUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate delivery and customer system issues to appropriate departmentEnter results into software program and communicate results utilizing service reportsAssist in water-related system improvement projectsMonitor product inventoriesCoordinate vehicle maintenance with approved vendorsFollows all health and safety guidelines and policiesOther duties as assigned by manager.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSTechnical knowledge and/or capability for pulling water samples and running water analysis, probe calibrations, monitoring and repairing of chemical feed pumpsTime management and organization skills are essential skills for successModerate level of supervisionStrong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, teamwork, analytical skills, organizational skills, self-management, and commitment to excellenceCapability of learning operating systemsMicrosoft Office Suite or equivalent skillsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma required, high school or college-level chemistry a plusBachelor's degree preferredExperience with chemical and hydrocarbon processing; related experience/training preferredDriver’s License and clean driving record requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDSOccasionally required to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.Occasionally required to twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach or grasp, and work in confined spaces as permitted.Occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods of time.Required to drive both short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations.Occasionally required to lift 60 pounds and maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds using proper lifting and moving strategies. The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $14.000 - $18.00 USD per hour.
