SUMMARY
BSPS, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking qualified Water Treatment Plant Operators for the 29 Palms MCAGCC BOS Contract. We are looking for T1, T2, and T3 California Certified Operators to Maintain, Facilitate, and Operate the Main Water Treatment Plant located on the 29 Palms MCAGCC Base.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and maintain the Water Treatment Plant at 29 Palms MCAGCCSupport the operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant Production FacilitySupport the operations and maintenance of the 29 Palms MCAGCC drinking water systemPerform routine and non-routine inspections of the entire water treatment facilityCollect and run routine bench top analysis of various water treatment samplesCollect, document and report operating conditions of specific water treatment equipment and systemsRecorded routine and non-routine activities during scheduled shifts Perform housekeeping assignments as required for the water treatment facility QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)
T1 California Department of Environmental Quality Water Treatment CertificationExperience with operating and maintaining conventional pretreatment water systemsExperience with reverse osmosis systemsValid California Driver’s LicenseKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Excellent customer service skills, including verbal communication and interpersonal relations skillsExcellent planning and organizational skillsBasic analytical and creative problem solving skills, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to learnProficient with Microsoft Office Suites software
Preferred
Knowledge of SCADA control systems from a user standpoint is desiredHigher Level Certification (T2 or T3)Water Treatment Plant Experience

Job is performed in an office and field setting. During work in the field setting, the candidate will be exposed to an environment typical of the southwest desert. The candidate may also at times be required to work around chemicals typical of a water treatment facility

Candidate must also pass a Government Minimum Level Background Investigation.
As a condition of employment, the candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check to obtain access to the 29 Palms MCAGCC. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
