In the role of Water/WastewaterCoordinator, we'll count on you to:

•Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities

• Create detailed designs of water / wastewater treatment systems and collection systems or water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities under instruction from the Project Engineer

• Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations

• Support projects in the construction phase, including submittal reviews, design clarifications, and construction management / resident engineer services

•Assist the Senior Engineer with engineering studies, designs, contract documentation preparation, technical report writing, and graphic presentation

•Perform site layout, calculations

•Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures

•Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables

•Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/treatment projects

•Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects

Preferred QualificationsMaster's degreeEngineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldInterest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilitiesAutoCAD and/or MicroStation experienceMicrosoft Office experienceMust be able to work in a team environmentAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
