As a Water Wastewater Engineer, you will evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects for water / wastewater, stormwater treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). Work at anyone of our offices in Virginia to include Richmond, Newport News, or Virginia Beach. Gannett Fleming embraces a hybrid work model and offers flexbile schedules. As a member of this collaborative and supportive team you will:
Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects of various sizesPerform process design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including engineering services and construction managementWork on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and prepares cost estimates for various water projectsSupport preparation of reports, presentations, and other supporting documents, and participate in client meetings.Prepares technical memoranda, perform data analysis, and work through the construction phase on the projects.Assists Project Managers with supervising and coordinating the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others team members for specific assignmentsProvide engineering services during constructionSome travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
3-5 years years of technical experience supporting water/wastewater treatment projects Project experience including design and construction of water treatment and distribution systems and/or wastewater collection and treatment systemsBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of studyEngineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferredFamiliarity with AutoCAD, WaterCAD, InfoWater, SewerCAD, ArcGIS etc.
