Job Title: Water/Wastewater EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead teams in the delivery of water projects. This role involves active participation in local professional organizations, preparing and presenting market-specific papers and presentations. The successful candidate will collaborate with other disciplines, including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control (I&C), structural, and CAD, to produce plans and specifications. You will assist in marketing business opportunities, develop responses to RFPs/RFQs, and provide support during the procurement and execution of projects. Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships, managing projects within budget and on time, and mentoring staff are key aspects of this position. Responsibilities + Lead teams in the delivery of water projects. + Participate in local professional organizations and present market-specific papers and presentations. + Collaborate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) to produce plans and specifications. + Assist in marketing business opportunities with key clients and develop responses to RFPs/RFQs. + Provide marketing support during the procurement and execution of projects. + Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients. + Consistently manage and deliver projects on time and within budget. + Manage and mentor staff effectively. Essential Skills + Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. + 8+ years of relevant experience. + Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa is required. + Regional and technical expertise in water and wastewater engineering. + Active participation in professional organizations. + Excellent technical writing skills. + Strong client relationship skills. + Excellent design team leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Civil engineering experience. + Expertise in wastewater, water resources, and water & wastewater. Work Environment This is a hybrid position requiring two days in the office and three days working remotely.
