Job Title: Water/Wastewater EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Engineer in Charlotte, NC. This role requires a strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and process design, preferably with municipal systems. The position involves managing both public and private projects, focusing on local municipal and quasi-governmental clients. The ideal candidate will possess a solid knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office software. Experience with InfoWorks WS and/or InfoWater modeling software by Innovyze is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a P.E. license are required. Responsibilities + Manage and oversee water and wastewater infrastructure and process design projects. + Coordinate and manage several large or complex projects simultaneously. + Develop and manage project staff, supporting and evaluating individuals to achieve their maximum potential. + Ensure projects are completed successfully, on-time, and on-budget. + Utilize project tracking software (Vision/Microsoft Project) for project management. + Maintain strong communication with clients and team members. + Apply advanced knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD in project design. + Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on industry trends. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. + Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. + 7+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater project design. + Advanced knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD. + Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Strong communication and leadership skills. + Project experience in the southeastern United States, preferably Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. + Experience with InfoWorks WS and/or InfoWater modeling software by Innovyze. + Advanced knowledge of project tracking software (Vision/Microsoft Project).
