Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Water team in Columbus, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and self-motivated professional to become part of our local team, supported by one of the nation's leading municipal consulting firms.
The Water/Wastewater Engineer will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of Water/Wastewater evaluations, design and construction to bring innovative solutions to our local, regional and national clients. This is a ‘hands-on’ role with an expectation of leading projects, managing and/or mentoring staff, and supporting marketing and business development activities with senior staff.
Role accountabilities:
The role involves serving as a designer or task leader who applies technical expertise to develop water and wastewater project solutions to the complex problems facing our municipal clients. Responsibilities include: leading projects through planning, design, and construction phases for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, stormwater systems, and distribution or collection systems. Tasks include preparing complete construction packages, encompassing all deliverables necessary for the engineering and construction of water and wastewater systems. The role involves performing detailed engineering calculations and analyses, utilizing design software to address complex issues, with drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) knowledge being advantageous though not required
Active participation in industry conferences and associations at local, state, and national levels is encouraged, including involvement in committee memberships, presentations, or leadership roles.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study. 5 or more years of experience with planning, design and construction projects including water, wastewater and/or stormwater projects. Licensed Professional Engineer (Preferred or willing to pursue EIT)Key Attributes:

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $68,187 - $112,509. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
