Job Title: Director of Water & Wastewater Engineering
Job Description

We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Civil Engineer to lead a market sector as the Director of Water & Wastewater Engineering. This role involves marketing to public sector clients in southeast Georgia and requires at least 10 years of experience in leading and managing the design of water/wastewater systems, treatment plants, pipelines and force mains, lift stations, pump stations, and water/wastewater master planning. Our firm specializes in providing professional consulting services for municipal and land development clients, with a commitment to excellence and client service.

ResponsibilitiesMarket to municipal clients and develop business opportunities.Lead and manage projects related to water and wastewater.Collaborate with staff including civil engineers, planners, landscape architects, and surveyors to prepare master plans, construction documents, specifications, estimates, and reports.Work with permitting agencies, utility companies, and other stakeholders to gain project approvals.Oversee design to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and constructable projects.Manage multiple projects simultaneously.Team with the Marketing Manager to prepare fee proposals and Statements of Qualifications.Maintain frequent communication with clients and team members to provide updates and address concerns.Prepare and present project updates, technical reports, and other documentation to clients, stakeholders, and the public.Essential SkillsExperience with municipal, utility, public works, and private projects.Background in designing and managing wastewater designs and projects.Experience with transmissions, water tanks, proposals, estimating budgets, and fees.Client-facing experience and business development skills.Proficiency in project management, design, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.Professional Engineer license in the State of Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months.Professional Engineer license in the State of South Carolina or ability to obtain within 6 months.Desire to be a leader in a consulting firm and take ownership of a market.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong public speaking skills, both internally and externally.Strong work ethic and self-motivation.Ability to work accurately and efficiently.High moral and ethical character.Desire to develop, train, and mentor engineering teams.Work Environment

In-office: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5:30 PM. Work closely with a senior engineer with over 20 years of experience to build the wastewater department. Participate in meetings such as zoning meetings and city council sessions, and engage in client outreach. The role may require travel to business development and to bring on new clients. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
