Water/Wastewater Engineer Intern - Summer 2025

Be involved in projects with our **Earth & Environment Team** and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible. **Your Impact** + Work alongside clients in industrial, mining, and municipal industries to engineer and develop water treatment solutions. + Assist and further develop skills in project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. + Consult with and assist water treatment plants across Arizona. + Utilize opportunities to design as well as support existing water treatment plants. **Who You Are** **Required Qualifications:** + Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later. + Must be 18 or older. + Demonstrated interest in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects. + Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. + Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills. + Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products. + The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately. + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. + Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on water or wastewater treatment with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later. + Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Visio, or Pipe-FLO. + Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework. **About WSP** WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
