Water/Wastewater Transmission/Utilities EIT

FNI is currently searching for a Water and/or Wastewater Transmission/Utilities Engineer (EIT) in our Central Texas office. The Water/Wastewater Transmission/Utilities Engineer will assist with analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans and specifications for various water and wastewater treatment projects. 

Functional Responsibilities:

Candidates must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, both internal and external, as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.Collecting, adjusting, correlating data, and recognizing discrepancies in results.Assist the Project Engineer in estimating engineering project costs.  Maintain an awareness of project budgets and endeavor to complete assignments within budget.Assist the Project Engineer in the development and execution of assigned projects and assume various tasks necessary to project completion. Conduct analysis with general guidance and become familiar with accepted criteria and methods.Become acquainted with the procedures and techniques necessary to execute a sound and efficient project.  On assigned projects, provide guidance and assistance to drafting personnel and help expand their capabilities in project performance.Provide quality work within the scope of work, guidelines, hours, and schedules defined by the Project Manager.Provide the Project Manager with information and assist in the coordination of information between groups.  Provide the Project Manager with information for decision making related to the overall project.

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (concentration in Environmental) or in Environmental EngineeringMaster's degree in Civil (concentration in Environmental) or Environmental Engineering, preferred3+ years experience with water or wastewater related workEngineer in Training (EIT) certification required
