We are seeking an experienced and energetic Reservoir Engineer to join our team. This person will work with a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the assessment, development and optimization of APA’s Egypt assets.
Must have 10+ years relevant industry experience working secondary recovery projects in conventional reservoirs.
Position Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Use classical reservoir engineering techniques to identify drilling, recompletion, and workover potential within new and existing assets
• Integrate pressure transient analysis, material balance, decline curve and volumetric analyses into reservoir evaluation
• Design surveillance programs, monitor and optimize waterflood projects to maximize oil recovery
• Integrate ongoing surveillance data such as Injection / Production logging tool (PLT), pressure surveys and fluid level data to refine waterflood management strategies and improve reservoir performance
• Conduct detailed waterflood surveillance using tools such as Hall plots, voidage replacement ratio (VRR) analysis, pattern balancing and other monitoring techniques to evaluate flood performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Develop and maintain waterflood models to predict reservoir behavior and improve injection / production strategies
• Provide reservoir engineering support and collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers and other disciplines to define an integrated field development plan (FDP)
• Work with integrated team to develop and optimize completion, stimulation, and lift design
• Recommend well placement, injection/production strategies and recovery techniques based on reservoir performance and surveillance data.
• Conduct economic evaluations and sensitivities for reservoir optimization projects and ensure alignment with company goals
• Provide support for new reserve bookings
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
• BS in Petroleum Engineering (or related engineering degree)
• 10+ Yrs Reservoir Engineering experience with E&P Company
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and consistently meet project deadlines
• Must be detail oriented
• Self-starter and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Track record of JV experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of conventional reservoir management practices, including waterflood surveillance techniques.
• PVT characterization expertise
• Proficient at economic evaluation and risk/uncertainty assessment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to present to Executive-level audience
• Experience using database, engineering, and geoscience software, including tNavigator/Eclipse, Sahara, OFM, Harmony, Kappa, Mosaic, PetroVR, Spotfire
