Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will be responsible for all pier maintenance coordination. You will be responsible for spill prevention and recovery operations. You will be responsible for assigning berthing space for all ships and service craft. You will work under close direction of the supervisor or higher-graded employee who provides assignment requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Assisting higher grade specialists in the effective management and coordination of all docking/ undocking work, all berthing support, all pier maintenance coordination and all waterborne support vessel activities. 2) Using judgement to recognize and refer situations not covered by instructions; 3) Performing advanced assignments with a great level of judgement in accordance to guideline. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position requires rotating rotating shift-work to provide coverage on evenings, weekdays, holidays, or special situations. Position requires the incumbent to be on-call on a rotational basis, responding to emergency calls at times beyond the normal duty day.
