2nd Shift Wax CMM Operator

Title: Wax CMM Operator

Status: Hourly

Shift: 2, 2:30p-10:30p

Positions Available: 1

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Area Manager, Wax

 

Location: Mentor, OH

 

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience.

Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity.  Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record.  Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.  Have strong sense of urgency.  Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.

 

Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus. Must have experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc.

Principal Area of Responsibility: Dimensional inspector must be capable of using CMM’s and gages assigned to his/her job title proficiently and accurately.

Specific Duties:

Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.  

Reform wax patterns as required.

Perform CMM inspection of wax patterns.

Record all data on supplied control charts.

Record all work performed on daily time sheets.

Assist with the administrative duties such as production schedule updates, time card review, and training documentation

Keep the work area clean, orderly and in safe working condition.

Observe all safety requirements.

Perform other duties as are designated by the supervisor.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.

Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.

The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.

Must pass Jaeger vision test.
