Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Wax Figure Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in fine arts. This role requires precision, patience, and skill to craft realistic wax figures, animatronics and props.

 

Responsibilities:

Create lifelike wax figures with detailed features.Paint animatronics and props.Understanding color theory for creating realistic skin tones and textures.Applying layers of oil-based paint and other types of paints to the figures to create the realistic skin tone and texture.Research photos and video to be used as references.Participate in a rigorous critiquing process before the figure can be signed off to appear in the attraction.Travel to museum locations to do repairs and maintenance of figures.Collaborate with other professionals in the industry to gain insight and advice.

Other skills:

Insertion of real human hair individually into the wax, including eyebrows and eyelashes.Cut and style the hair to match the desired look of the celebrity.Sculpting, molding and casting parts.Able to perform repairs and body work on figures.
