This role involves conducting assessments, offering therapeutic support, and connecting clients to essential resources, all in alignment with FLACRA’s mission, vision, and values. Must-Have Qualifications & Skills: + Associate’s Degree in Health or Human Services (or a related field). + Valid NYS Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation for client visits. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse individuals, staff, and community service providers. + Knowledge of local behavioral health systems. + Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to remain calm in crisis situations. + Experience with electronic health records (E-records). Nice-to-Have Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Human Services (or a related field). + Previous case management experience, particularly in addiction services. Job Requirements: Key Responsibilities: + Provide direct diagnostic evaluation services to clients referred by various sources, assessing their needs for addiction treatment and additional counseling services. + Deliver therapeutic services to clients through individual, family, conjoint, and group therapy sessions. + Manage client intake processes and caseloads with independent judgment, seeking consultation as needed for diagnostic evaluations and treatment techniques. + Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and supervisory sessions to ensure alignment with agency goals. + Build and maintain positive, effective relationships with community groups, referral sources, and service agencies. + Engage in community presentations and training programs to raise awareness of addiction services. + Assist clients in developing appropriate interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills through counseling and support. + Collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors, demonstrating teamwork, flexibility, and cooperation. + Respond appropriately to crisis and emergency situations to ensure client safety and well-being. + Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with agency and OASAS regulations, policies, and procedures. + Maintain a professional demeanor, providing high-quality service and care with respect and dignity for all clients. + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
