Wealth Head of Program and Project Execution

The Chief Operating Officer for Citi Wealth is responsible for defining an ambitious, growth-focused strategy across all wealth client segments and products, leading and executing our strategy against the high-net-worth segment. The COO office focuses on the execution of key growth initiatives and strategic investments, and will lead an in-depth analysis of our business, infrastructure and risk and control functions to simplify our global operating model. The Head of Program & Project Execution is a critical role within the COO team. Reporting to the MD of Planning, Change, and Execution, the PPE Head will oversee a team of professional project managers as well as professionals supporting Citi’s standards and policies around program and project management. The successful individual will work with other member of the COO function – specifically with other colleagues in Planning, Change, and Execution. The Program & Project Execution Head will also oversee Citi Wealth’s engagement of certain external resources for execution support. Key program / workstreams of work will include but not limited to: + Assist in evaluating the internal and external business environment to develop a long-term overall vision and strategy for the organization, with a focus on pragmatic execution considerations + Integration and alignment of business and support functions from an operational, functional and financial perspective. Establish cross functional workstreams to ensure program & project plans are defined with clear milestones and deliverables and milestones. + Alignment of technology and infrastructure platforms – work closely with the businesses to formulate clear infrastructure and technology requirements + Work with Technology and Operations to define integration plans that leverage current assets, identify gaps and formulate plans that support growth through in-house development, external vendors and strategic alliances. + Act as a credible challenger to stakeholders and partners across the projects and programs managed by the team as well as other projects and programs falling under Citi’s Program & Project Management Policy + Represent Wealth across critical cross-enterprise forums and initiatives + Liaise with business, in-Business Risks & Controls and 2LOD partners to ensure the organization is aligned with corporate Risks & Controls and Transformation plans and objectives. Represent the COO in relevant risks & control forums as well as engagements with regulators. The key characteristics of the ideal candidate for the position are: + Excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment and buy-in across the organization + Extensive program management & execution leadership in growth-oriented management consulting, private banking, financial services + Ability to lead large projects within Wealth Management + Demonstrated record of team leadership – managing complex and distributed teams while successfully growing staff in their careers + Excellent written and verbal communication skills – synthesizing complex problems and ideas in a way that can be widely communicated to an audience of senior leaders + Continuously challenging the status quo + Ability to build credible and trusting relationships across the firm and with key external partners + Influential and high track record of followership with demonstrated experience gaining consensus and alignment in a highly matrixed environment + Ability to lead cross-functional teams through a clear and consistent line of sight regarding critical work activities + Ability to enhance program management framework to ensure consistency of delivery across projects + Finance/Accounting & Ops/Tech backgrounds are preferred + BA/BS required + Travel approximately 25% ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family Group:** Project and Program Management ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family:** Program Management ------------------------------------------------------ **Time Type:** Full time ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location:** New York New York United States ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:** $170,000.00 - $300,000.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
