We currently have an opportunity for a Wealth Management Analyst to join our Retirement and Private Wealth team in our Bethesda, MD office.
The selected individual will be responsible for preparing client reviews and providing administrative support to the advisor’s to ensure our clients experience outstanding service. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to advisors and other team membersConduct monthly/quarterly/ad hoc practice wide data manipulationIdentify problem areas and summarize for advisorAssist with asset allocation decisions, portfolio construction, and rebalancing strategiesLook for ways to continually improve our proceduresManage documentation of investment reporting and processes, paying close attention to compliance protocolsConduct research and provide investment screening in advance of firm’s Investment Committee meetingsAnalyze mutual funds and ETF’s for inclusion in model portfolioMaintain mutual fund and ETF recommended listsMaintain up-to-date information on model portfolios performanceAssist Director of Investments in rebalancing client portfolios (brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, annuities, 529s, variable life insurance accounts, etc.) based on advisor’s criteria using appropriate toolsIn depth and frequent spreadsheet project workload & data manipulationConduct business in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of both the business and earnings implications of the CompanyOther projects and responsibilities as assigned by ManagerQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance or related field preferredCFA candidate a plus or desire to become CFAMinimum 3 years of experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services with good understanding of all basic investment concepts and theories, including statisticsWillingness to learnKnowledge of mutual fund, stock, bond, insurance, and annuity productsProficiency in Math and strong analytical skillsStrong spreadsheet skillsSelf-starter, good follow-through skills, and strong attention to detailExcellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to interact with people across all levels of the businessKnowledge of third-party asset management systems, including portfolio and investment software (i.e. iRebal, Orion, Eclipse, Refinitiv)Proficiency with computer programs, including MS Excel and WordPrior experience working with independent RIA or wire housesWhat We Offer You:
