As a Business Analysis & Data Analytics Manager in Wealth Management Supervision, covering JPMorgan Wealth Management and the Private Bank, you will be an integral part of the daily business reporting & analytics needs, as well as the long-term strategic strategy seeking process improvement, automation and efficiency. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of business analysis and reporting requirements across the business.  You will manage a team of analysts specializing in business reporting leveraging tools like Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and Python to build, own, and operate the BAU and Ad-hoc Data Analysis.  Utilizing your hands-on technical experience and demonstrated thought leadership, you are able to analyze data, organize and facilitate meetings, create meaningful analytics which help business leaders understand the ‘So What’ behind the numbers. In addition to your individual contributions, you will oversee the responsibilities of your direct reports, set and guide the strategic direction of the team, and guide the professional development of the employees.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide robust analytics and reporting to drive data-driven business decisions. Develop nimble data architecture solutions, identifying tools for automation and powerful visualizations. Lead Design Thinking processes, assessing stakeholder requirements to create scalable and innovative solutions. Drive technical sessions with upstream teams to integrate data elements into downstream reporting. Ensure accurate, timely, and controlled reporting by the team. Contribute to best practices, project standards, and procedures for consistency and clarity among stakeholders. Evaluate manual processes to identify inefficiencies and design automated solutions. Ensure detailed responsibilities within procedures and register automation solutions via governance frameworks. Communicate tactical and strategic strategies to the team, measuring progress towards goals. Eliminate key person dependencies through cross-training, documentation, and succession planning. Learn new tools and techniques for projects, leading knowledge-sharing sessions with internal teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally within financial services, controls, risk management, or data analytics. At least 3 years of management experience with a proven track record of successfully leading teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Demonstrated ability to develop employees and support them in achieving their professional goals. Proven capability to lead teams in meeting business objectives and key results. Strong analytical and investigative problem-solving skills. Ability to engage creatively and productively with management, business, and data owners to gather information and insights. A strong sense of urgency in addressing escalating issues, adapting to rapidly changing priorities, and managing adverse performance. Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Business Intelligence and data analysis tools, such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, and Excel, to generate analytic insights for data visualization. Proficiency in database querying languages such as SQL and/or Python, or a commitment to becoming proficient shortly after employment. Comprehensive understanding of control requirements within the data and analytics landscape, including the use of User tools and Intelligent Solutions. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, with particular expertise in PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Experience with large and disparate relational databases, such as Impala and Snowflake. Alteryx Designer Core certification, or a willingness to obtain certification shortly after employment. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not required.
