Provide technical expertise on payload issues impacting all potential uncrewed platforms. Support the implementation of new technical systems through the Army approval process and participate in design reviews for engineering projects affecting air/ground launch hardware and software design. You will be involved in the development, integration, and qualification of lethal effects, and provide guidance on payload interface standards. Additionally, you will support test activities related to payload performance, monitor emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for improving payload performance.

Provide technical expertise on payload issues impacting all potential uncrewed platforms.Support the implementation of new technical systems through the Army approval process.Participate in design reviews for engineering projects affecting air/ground launch hardware and software design.Provide technical guidance and support for test activities related to payload performance.Monitor emerging technologies related to requirements-based payloads.Coordinate and support S&T and government groups working on potential payloads.Manage assigned payload engineering service projects within cost, schedule, and performance objectives.Provide recommendations on modifications to improve payload performance, including interfaces with the air vehicle.Communicate directly with contractors, engineers, logisticians, program managers, and business team members.Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues/risks, and participate in the development of contingency plans.JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Top Secret Clearance (active Secret Clearance acceptable)Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PhysicsExperience with UAS or Missile systemsTesting and integration experience on aircraftPayload integration experience5-10 years of relevant experienceStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenProven ability to develop and provide reports to managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s Degree/PhD in Engineering or Physics (desired)Experience with launched effects (desired)Weapons integration on aircraft (desired)Experience managing efforts through the Army Fuse Safety Review BoardMilitary aviation or missile experience (desired)US Citizenship requiredWork Environment

Onsite work currently 2 days weekly. Candidates should be prepared to work onsite 40 hours weekly pending executive order. The role involves working for a government contractor within the UAS PMO office, focusing on UAS and new products for the Army.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $1500000.00/yr.
