Weapons Intelligence Analyst
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Support the Department of Defense Research, Development, Test and Evaluation efforts by performing direct analytical support for C-RCIED and C-UAS efforts in support of USSOCOM. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Perform research, collection, and collation of intelligence information, perform assessments and projections, and identify vulnerabilities as part of the analysis process to develop technical reports and briefings, project deliverables, and other finished products. + Perform analog and digital Radio Frequency (RF) design and analysis of various circuits to determine device theory of operations, functionality, and technical characteristics. Utilize available intelligence, both commercial and military, to determine operational theory, capabilities, and limitations of candidate devices. Analyze and perform non-destructive examination of devices to identify components and circuit schematics, and to obtain an understanding of any embedded firmware/software. + Work with multiple organizations and entities to examine and analyze all relevant threat information, systems analysis, and other available information using a whole-of-government approach to determine all relevant and useful information pertaining to a given problem set to support emerging concepts of operations. + Interact directly with the supported Combatant Commands, deployed intelligence consumers, and the Community of Interest to gather intelligence products and recovered/exploited devices to meet requirements. + Create and provide intelligence briefs to Government officials at all levels. + Use and produce intelligence products, assemble intelligence briefings, network with other Subject Matter Experts in the Intelligence Community and DOD, and produce internal team products to facilitate client testing requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + Associate degree or two years spent in an intelligence-related field. + Minimum of 3 years of experience providing some combination of C-UxS, C- IED, UxS unmanned Systems, or Asymmetric threat intelligence analysis support. + US Department of Defense TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility. + Expertise in assessing the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures related to the usage of both RCIED’s and UxS’s and their associated impact to friendly forces. + Ability to perform detailed, targeted all-source intelligence research and analysis and produce logical and defensible intelligence assessments that conform to applicable Intelligence Community Directives. + Experience in, or working with, the US military Special Operations community, or a graduate of NAVSCHOLEOD. + Ability to dialogue with engineering exploitation centers at both CONUS and OCONUS locations in reference to new and emerging threat technologies. + Skilled in the use of Intel-related databases (e.g., TEDAC, SOFEX, Chrome, and related SIGINT Databases. + Skilled in INT types to include: SIGINT, OSINT, GEOINT, ALL-SOURCE INT, etc. + Skilled with Open-Source data aggregation tools and search programs. + Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including the organizing and visualization of data to determine the “so what” of the data set + Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint as a tool to design and develop briefings, both technical and/or analytical in nature, for audiences of all types + Strong Communication skills and personal networking capabilities across multiple mediums, to include email, phone, VTC, IM, chat rooms, SharePoint, meetings of all shapes and sizes, conferences, and more. + Strong presenter comfortable with briefing audiences both large and small, at both technical and non-technical levels, and with a wide variety of audience members from the operator to the executive. WORK ENVIRONMENT + Primary performance location is on Fort Bragg NC, in an indoor mixed office & maintenance area, and an outdoor test range. Work at Temporary Duty (TDY) locations may be required to support test and/or training events or exercises. TDY locations may be on a military installation or rural locations. + Travel will be infrequent within the continental United States and is usually one to two weeks in length.
