Our Client is a leading web accessibility consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations create inclusive and accessible digital experiences. We partner with businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to ensure their websites and applications meet the latest **Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)** and comply with legal requirements such as the **ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility standards.**
**Job Summary**
We are looking for a **Web Accessibility Specialist** to join our team and help assess, test, and improve the accessibility of digital products. In this role, you will conduct **manual and automated accessibility testing** , provide remediation recommendations, and collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure full compliance with **WCAG 2.2 (or latest version)** and other relevant accessibility regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Conduct **accessibility audits and evaluations** of websites, web applications, and digital content using automated tools, manual testing, and assistive technologies.
+ Identify and document **WCAG violations** , usability barriers, and other accessibility issues.
+ Provide detailed remediation guidance and recommendations for developers and designers to ensure compliance.
+ Utilize **assistive technologies** such as screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), keyboard navigation, and speech recognition tools to validate accessibility.
+ Generate **compliance reports** and provide technical documentation for clients.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into design and development processes.
+ Stay up to date on **WCAG, ADA, Section 508, and international accessibility laws** and contribute to improving internal accessibility guidelines.
+ Provide **accessibility training and workshops** to clients and internal teams as needed.
**Qualifications & Skills**
**Required:**
+ **2+ years of experience** in web accessibility testing, auditing, or compliance consulting.
+ Strong knowledge of **WCAG 2.1/2.2** , ARIA, ADA, Section 508, and other accessibility laws.
+ Proficiency with **accessibility testing tools** (e.g., Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, ANDI, Siteimprove).
+ Hands-on experience testing with **screen readers** (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
+ Understanding of **HTML, CSS, JavaScript** , and ARIA best practices for accessibility remediation.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Ability to write clear and actionable accessibility reports.
**Preferred:**
+ IAAP **Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)** or **Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS)** certification.
+ Experience with **mobile accessibility** testing (iOS/Android).
+ Familiarity with Agile development and integrating accessibility into design and dev workflows.
+ Experience providing **training or consulting** on accessibility.
