Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The main function of a Web Accessibility Consultant is to identify the top problem areas or issues impacting the Customer Experience for customers with disabilities, provide guidance to site owners on how address issues, and help to coordinate accessibility assessment program this is a fully remote position , with PST core hours

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Perform accessibility assessment of web sites across multiple teams, log bugs, generate reports and follow up on remediation activities.Work across web teams and disciplines to deliver significant improvements in identified areas.Collaborate with diverse team to execute Website Accessibility requirements.Provide guidance on Accessibility best practices and remediation activities to various teamsCoordinate with Teams to schedule accessibility assessment, track progress on resolution of issues and overall compliance state across the division. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field is a preference for this role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for coordination with stakeholders across the division.
• Ability to represent the complexities of Accessibility to technical and non-technical audiences
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with different teams and projects.
• Experience with web publishing process

 

ADD PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 


Top Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Minimum 5+ years experience with Certified in Accessibility as Trusted Tester ( Help coordinate accessibility assessment and create detailed reports)
2. Minimum 5+ years experience with ARIA, MAS, accessible HTML/JS, mobile accessibility
3. Minimum 5+ years experience with Strong written & verbal skills, and strong attention to detail
4. Minimum 5+ years experience with using Screen Readers such as NVDA and JAWS Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
