Web Application Staff Engineer

We make everything from GIS to mobile applications and you will be a key part of building the interfaces to these applications. We’re a small team but we write bulletproof code because, well, lots of people are depending on us. Responsibilities

· Lead the complete software development lifecycle by working with business owners to gather requirements, prepare functional specifications, generate project plans, and communicate progress throughout the

· Evaluate, define, recommend and expand scalable architectural solutions for our cloud and on-premise products

· Mentor junior engineers and lead by example with high-quality, maintainable and well-designed code

· Develop and test high-quality software in a team environment. Software is expected to be on a continuous integration system with a focus on elegant interfaces.

· Work with a team on multiple projects throughout the lifecycle, interacting with
business owners, designers, developers, technical operational teams, QA, and support.

· Write and maintain

· Assist in the development of training material for end user under the supervision of technical writer

 

Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in software development including 5+ years’ experience in developing scalable and secure enterprise web applications in Microsoft ASP.NET with C#/.NET application framework

· Proven track record with Microsoft ASP.NET MVC framework

· Solid Expertise and knowledge in JavaScript and JavaScript libraries like jQuery, angularJS

· Experience building AJAX-driven web applications. Experience with WebSockets/SignalR “real-time web” capability a strong plus

· Experience in developing enterprise level web applications (ASP.NET, HTML,
CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, MVC), web services (REST, SOAP)

· Experience in using UI and Charting products such as Telerik and Sencha to improve time-to-market

· Expert in object-oriented paradigm, including solid knowledge of core libraries, design patterns, object to relational mapping

· Current or previous team leadership experience.

· Demonstrated record of core applications led and

· Architecture and design capability

· Ability to evaluate technology and finalize scalable options

· Can determine build versus buy decisions

 

Education              

· B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related majors

· M.S. Degree preferred
