Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Responsible for manual and some automated testing of systems against accessibility requirements including Section 508 (as written in 1998) and Visa’s internal accessibility requirements which are based on WCAG 2.0 AA.Follow Visa’s accessibility testing scripts and document defects in bug-tracking tools and software.Work with Development and Project Management teams to ensure the issues are resolved in a timely manner. When the development team cannot solve an accessibility defect per the requirements and other documentation, research and create solutions and/or liaise with Visa Accessibility SMEs.Communicate status frequently to everyone in the team
QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field5+ years of QA experienceExperience testing web applications against Section 508Strong ability to collaborateHighly driven and resourcefulExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong attention to detailKnowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.0Familiarity with manual accessibility testing tools like WAVE, JuicyStudio, etc.Familiarity with screen readers including JAWS and VoiceOverPrevious web accessibility testing experience a plusProficiency in HTML, CSS, and JS a plusUnderstanding of WAI-ARIA a plusWCAG 2.0 expertise and ability to solve accessibility problems a plus
