About the Position

When it comes to the Grand Living website, you’ll conjure appealing layouts, intuitive navigation, and eye-catching typography while adhering to the Grand Living brand. You'll ensure that our site runs like a well-oiled machine, with bulletproof code, top-tier functionality, and rock-solid security.  In this role, you will work hand in hand with our in-house marketing talents, project visionaries, and third-party collaborators to bring our online dreams to life. As a key member of our Marketing team, you'll also be part of the backstage action, helping with campaign launches, assisting with project strategies, integrating programs seamlessly, and being our go-to troubleshooter when needed.  If you're the kind of person who thrives in an organized environment and is ready to let your creativity flourish, join us. Qualifications and Requirements 

The Web Designer and Developer must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field or Coding Bootcamp or Program (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a web designer and developer with a strong portfolio highlighting your work. Solid understanding and hands on experience with Web Applications, programming languages and Frameworks such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery, and responsive design principles. Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Wix). e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify) experience a plus. Knowledge of graphic and web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, XD, etc.). Experience in UI/UX Development and/or web-based graphic design implementation. Knowledgeable in typography, color palette, and image composition for web and mobile. Solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management and best development practices. Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, Google Analytics, and page tracking. Advance skills a plus. Proficiency in the Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen. Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills. Experience with photography, video production and editing a plus. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; and must live within daily commuting distance to a Grand Living community or WHQ.
