MUST HAVE RECENT and Strong JQuery, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
We have an immediate need for a Web Developer. They will start on an “Implementing Web Standards” project and will then move onto other web strategic initiative efforts. The duration of the initial contract is 6 months with the possibility of an extension.
Required core competencies:
· Extensive experience with HTML standards.
· Extensive experience with CSS.
· Extensive experience with Javascript and JQuery.
· Excellent knowledge of hand-coded HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the DOM.
· Knowledge of JavaScript/UI libraries and their use in implementing AJAX solutions.
· Accessibility and SEO knowledge.
· Implementing and consuming cross platform Web Services like JSON/REST.
· Familiarity with progressive enhancement and responsive web design.
· Familiarity with Flash.
· Ability to work in a command-line Unix environment.
· Excellent written and oral English-language skills.
Nice to have:
· Java experience.
· Unix shell scripting experience.
· Graphic design experience.
