The Web Developer will be tasked with design and development of web-based applications, which support the University’s in-house administration of online and multi-modality credit and non-credit programs. The role requires close collaboration with teams involved in web content delivery, supported by the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) digital experience platform and members of the University Communication and Marketing Team (UCM). Additional responsibilities include providing consultation of best practices related to marketing technology (MarTech) tools.Remote applicants are eligible for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement web-based applications, following best practices using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Ensure that solutions are scalable and configurable, building off defined requirements and specifications. Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Demonstrate flexibility and adjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing needs of stakeholders; ensure projects are completed on schedule. Responsible for end-to-end development, testing, and production readiness of solutions. Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Bachelor’s degree; relevant industry certifications (such as Adobe AEM, Oracle Java), plus years’ experience, may be considered in lieu of degree


Work Experience 2-4 years’ experience designing/developing external enterprise websites Experience developing solutions and supporting CMS platforms Experience using full stack development tools such as Java, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS Experience working with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills) Outstanding interpersonal communication and writing skills Strong problem-solving skills Excellent analytical skills Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area) Familiarity with end-to-end web application development Understanding of best practices for UX/UI design, digital accessibility, SEO, and web development Understanding of best practices for migrating between DEV, QA, and PROD environments Preferred Qualifications: Formal Education Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline Relevant industry certifications (such as Adobe AEM, Oracle Java)


Work Experience Experience developing with Adobe Experience Manager Experience working with project management tools, such as TeamDynamix Experience working with social media management platforms Experience working with email marketing tools Experience designing, developing, and implementing search engine solutions Experience in designing and building AEM modules, such as Core Components, Editable Templates, Touch UI, Experience Fragments, Digital Asset Management (DAM), Workflows, and Tagging Experience in administration of the AEM framework (front-end, back-end, configurations, and administration) Experience designing, developing, and supporting AEM components, integrations, and applications using Java, J2EE, Jenkins, Mavin, Node, JCR, Sling Servlets, and OSGi configurations Experience with A/B testing, including analytics/tagging to support online marketing campaigns Experience working with an integration platform, such as Boomi Experience working with identity providers, such as Azure AD
