Description We are in search of a Web Developer to join our team in the education sector, based in Houston, Texas. As a Web Developer, your primary tasks will include the creation, optimization, and maintenance of websites on the WordPress platform. You will be collaborating with our team of designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly, and scalable web experiences. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the design team to transform Figma/Sketch/PSD designs into responsive, WordPress themes that are compatible across different browsers. • Create new features, custom themes, and functionalities for WordPress websites. • Customize and maintain WordPress plugins to meet the needs of various projects. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize website performance to ensure seamless functionality. • Implement SEO best practices and adhere to accessibility standards for all websites. • Perform regular site maintenance tasks such as plugin updates, bug fixing, and compatibility checks. • Integrate third-party services and APIs with WordPress websites for enhanced functionality and scalability. • Work in close coordination with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. • Ensure back-end and front-end performance optimization to improve page speed and overall site efficiency. • Address website security issues and implement best practices for WordPress security.
