Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Responsibilities Designs, executes and analyzes research for recommendations for solutions to support and uphold the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Marketing Division's vision to "reach and inspire our community through creative engagement, ensuring their experience becomes part of our story." Creates actionable insights based on data and analysis. Conducts research for website development, to include investigation of tools and technologies, and makes recommendations. Determines appropriate methods for delivering information via the internet. Incorporates text, graphics, pictures, objects, video, sound, and all required media enhanced effects as required. Conducts site maintenance. Develops and oversees compliance with communication policies, data management and brand/visual guidelines. Supports the messaging needs of MCCS Twentynine Palms and MCCS Bridgeport, through strategies, and management of websites and webpages. Drafts and edits website and webpage content to provide accurate digital presence for MCCS programs, events, and services. Edits graphic designs for the web that effectively communicate the mission and objectives of MCCS events and services. Ensures all digital content meets Depart of Defense (DoD) and United States Marine Corps (USMC) policy requirements. Guarantees brand consistency in consensus with MCCS enterprise and local style guides. Creates and maintains internal and external MCCS event listing calendars. Maintains online registration system and liaises with MCCS divisions to ensure proper reporting of event registrants. Maintains online payment system and liaises with MCCS Finance office to pull reports and ensure the accurate reception of payments. Works closely with Marketers to create strong digital presence contributing to audience growth and engagement as informed by analytics. Trains necessary MCCS employees on roles and responsibilities with taxonomy, creating web media assets, web events and activities and web site planner structure and rules. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Three years' experience in administrating and developing web pages and/or sites incorporating graphics, text, and navigation. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing with a concentration in web and mobile application development, or a closely related field may be substituted for experience. Ability to uncover actionable insight from various analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, and project management systems. Skill to prepare and maintain clear, accurate and complete records, reports and correspondence. Knowledge of digital media, mobile development, analytics, motion graphics and web protocols highly preferred. Must have experience developing content management systems, such as Drupal, Mura, SharePoint, etc., with knowledge or experience on customization, responsive design and web-based applications. Knowledge of Windows Operating System using Adobe Creative Suite programs. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, HTML, CSS, and the Adobe Creative Suite family of design tools. Demonstrated experience managing tight deadlines and multiple schedules. Ability to work as a team player and independently with minimal supervision. Must have excellent written and oral presentation skills, and ability to communicate with all levels. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
