Summary Statement
The Web Team Internship offers graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to gain professional experience in web accessibility and analytics on a city-wide scale. Interns will collaborate with the Office of Community Engagement’s web team and the IT web development team to support key initiatives within a multi-year project.
Essential Functions
+ Assist in upgrading web accessibility to ensure compliance with industry standards.
+ Implement and analyze web analytics to correlate to future enhancements .
+ Work collaboratively on website testing and optimization efforts.
Requirements
Required knowledge and experience:
+ Google analytics preferred
+ Web development or content management system experience
+ Understanding of web accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
Internship requirements
+ Undergraduate or graduate students with a strong academic record or graduated in the last 12 months from an accredited university
+ Majoring in web development, IT, communications, or a related field
+ Be able to work up to 20 hours per week.
+ Be able to commit to the entire internship program.

19-Hour Temporary
All temporary part-time employees working less than an average of 19-hours per week are not currently eligible for benefits.
4-Month Temporary
All 4-month temporary employees working an average of 40-hours per week will accrue personal leave which can be used during employment.
8-Month Seasonal
In addition to accruing personal leave, anyone in an 8-month seasonal position working over an average of 30-hours per week is eligible for medical coverage.
9-Month Temporary
In addition to personal leave accrual and medical coverage, a position that is classified as a 9-month temporary is eligible for PERSI retirement benefits.
