**GENERAL PURPOSE:** + Responsible for helping build and strengthen the brand through the design of excellent marketing materials across all media to meet needs of end user. + He/she will lead the development of marketing initiatives, including websites, web forms, e-mail marketing, demos, web-based tools, advertising and collateral materials. + He/she will also lead the development of the web-based solutions. + He/She supports the marketing team by delivering a wide variety of graphic design projects ranging in difficulty from simple to complex. + The job requires the individual to be able to select the appropriate design approach to communicate upon the key marketing objective. **Specific Responsibilities:** Duties are listed based on the estimated % of time. Other responsibilities may be assigned. **Responsibilities:** + Leads the creative execution, design and development of Marketing materials including web sites, e-commerce marketing initiatives, e-mail marketing, advertising and collateral to best meet the needs of stakeholders. + Consults with stakeholders, studies competitors’ materials, and understands end users to ensure online and offline user experience meets highest level of standards and we continue to improve our marketing communications approach. + Interfaces with internal business units to gather requirements and recommend improved features/functionality, usability, look/feel, and navigation on Marketing web solutions to consistently improve the user experience. + Shapes visual communication strategies for business initiatives to meet the stated objectives and develops visual concepts to clearly communicate the company message and ensure brand alignment. + Proactively researches and prepares proposals for new web-based designs to management to support client and sales growth. + Works with internal business units to ensure optimal website performance and load times. Reviews key stats and works to improve the back end technology for improved performance for the end user. + Identifies mobile delivery and new coding methods for optimal user experience and site performance. + Reviews all designs to ensure consistency and reinforcement of the look/feel of the brand. + Collaborates with the Content Project Manager to ensure consistent content delivery and continually improve internal review processes. + Presents design approach to executives for major projects to support company objectives. Effectively communicates design theory and approach. Receives feedback and incorporates it as required. + Assists and trains junior level designers via formal training and/or informal design reviews to ensure consistency. **Live the Values** : + Act with uncompromising integrity. + Provide outstanding service and build trusted relationships. + Drive innovation in our products and services and continually improve our processes. + Work in partnership and support each other. + Be personally accountable and deliver on commitments. + Treat each other with respect and dignity. **Requirements** : + Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience **Education:** + Bachelor's Degree inGraphic Design, Web Design, or related discipline is preferred **Work Experience:** + Server-side language experience including C# and PHP is preferred + 6 years of experience in Web design Related field and advertising or marketing communications. + Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience. **Skills and Abilities** + Advanced understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript required. + Advanced design and development for mobile devices is required. + Javascript libraries (jQuery, Sencha, or equivalents) is preferred. + Flash/Flex/AIR programming (or equivalent) and design is preferred. + Knowledge of CMS (Wordpress, Teamsite, Joomla, or equivalents) is preferred. + Thorough knowledge of 4-color press and digital production is required. + Must be proficient in MAC OS, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. + Agency experience is desired.
