The Web Project Lead will enhance communication within the team and optimize project and process workflows to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality Web Solutions projects and services related to the alumni.harvard.edu website and associated microsites. This role involves collaborating with the team and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, facilitate effective communication, maintain project and process documentation, oversee risk management, and lead and participate in quality assurance processes. POSITION DESCRIPTION + Planning and Execution + Partner across the Web Solutions team to develop and manage comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, resource allocation, and milestones for the technical implementation of Drupal upgrades, security patching, and strategic projects related to alumni.harvard.edu and associated microsites. + Facilitate clear, consistent communication with internal and external partners, including development, design, QA, and management teams. + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment on project goals, and adhere to deliverable deadlines. + Organize and lead regular project meetings, including stand-ups and retrospectives. + Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. + Coordinate project members to resolve technical issues that arise during project lifecycle. + Deliver regular status updates to stakeholders, emphasizing project progress, upcoming milestones, and any issues needing attention. + Quality Assurance + Partner across the Web Solutions team to establish and oversee quality standards and procedures, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed expectations. + Write test plans and coordinate all testing activities. + Participate in executing testing to ensure the accuracy of deliverables. + Service Delivery + Deliver customer-focused service with an emphasis on continuous improvement. + Draw on relationship, planning skills, and technical knowledge to act as liaison to internal and external partners + Maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and progress reports. + Collaborate with Talent Management on communications to Drupal Editors and Publishers to share recent technical improvements and upcoming learning opportunities. + Contributes to the coordination of resources to respond to production incidents which may include after hours support. + Provide support during project go-lives and busy season such as reunions and calendar year end. Support includes occasional weekend and holiday times. + The above covers the most significant responsibilities of the position.
