SUMMARY

Provide application development and programing support and services for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP). Tasks are based off prioritized custom updates and development projects which will be provided by the government. The government has a priority for custom updates and development support and the modification of the CDMRP sites with documents, announcement, and custom code.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, Development, and Implementation of Java and HTML Applications.  Support all facets of custom application development using Java and HTML and related technologies according to approved user requirements. Application development, maintenance, and support take place on a variety of platforms (internal, external and NIPRNET extranet environments). Work from the CDMRP work queue to coordinate their priorities Katmai Project Manager, agree upon timelines, and coordinate with the customer as needed. Analyze and solve problems, determine source of problems (e.g., application issues or user error). Maintain the CDMRP custom web site. Independently work with users, requirements analyst and team members to identify and resolve application issues by corrective actions. Resolve all known defects prior to user acceptance testing. Assist the Katmai Project Manager to provide custom reports for executive level staff. Ensure projects are on track with due dates, testing, documentation, training and communicating with stakeholders and management. team to ensure all cybersecurity requirements are applied to applications and information systems. Execute testing in a separate staging environment prior to deployment by assisting clients with testing, verifying requirement and the Government Project Manager, and ensuring the application, application changes, or updates conform to the initial requirements and any Government Project Manager approved changes.  Provide application updates/modifications within the government approved timelines. Provide a status report to the Katmai PM daily on projects. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

None.

    

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years hands-on technical experience with web support and/or development, computer systems, information systems and data communications. Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Recommended Certification (certification must be maintained for the duration of employment): DoD 8570.01 M IAT Level II Baseline Cybersecurity Certification Required such as Security + CE. Management and Technical experience meeting tight development schedules within the prescribed project times as projected by the development team. Ability to support multiple development projects simultaneously on a weekly basis. Management experience to support the development of a monthly status report regarding application development, testing and deployment activity. Provide written insight to developer tasks based off prioritized custom development application and SharePoint projects as well as a summary of any management activity such as meetings with customers.
