Nursing Home Activities Aide

Albany Assisted Living Center is seeking energetic & passionate Activities Aides to work Weekends at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Delmar, NY.

DUTIES:

Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interestsWork directly with Residents on units; without direct supervisionOrganize and obtain supplies and equipment as requestedAssist recreation specialists & set up program areas as neededKeep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activitiesAssist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate unitsBe familiar with established emergency procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

Positive attitude and energy are a must!Experience with activities in a healthcare setting or college work in recreation therapyPrevious experience with a geriatric population preferredStrong computer skills necessaryAbility to work effectively as a team memberStrong organizational & planning skills; ability to multi-taskDementia experience preferred
