**Weekend Press Assistants** **Weekend shift- Friday- Sunday** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated Weekend Press Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will assist with operating the press machine during the weekend shift. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement. **Responsibilities** + Help operate the press machine + Load parts, set measurements, and start the press process + Prep finished products and place them on pallets for shipping + Track work progress on paper and stay organized + Inspect parts for quality + Drive the pull truck or 'carpet puller' if needed **Essential Skills** + Production experience + Machine operation + Inspection skills + Ability to use a tape measure + Assembly experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous machine operating experience + Strong attention to detail + Ability to perform quality checks + Experience handling paperwork **Why Work Here?** + Contract-to-hire opportunity + Room for advancement + Shoe reimbursement up to $100 per year + Top-rated press operators can earn in the mid $30s/hour within less than 5 years with dedication **Work Environment** This position is in a manufacturing environment. **The weekend shift is Friday to Sunday, 12 hours from 5 AM to 5 PM. Training will take place Monday to Thursday from 5 AM to 3 PM for 4 to 6 weeks. Overtime may be scheduled** , and breaks include two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute paid lunch break where you are not allowed to leave. The facility is not completely temperature-controlled, so it can get slightly cold or hot. The dress code includes steel-toed or composite shoes, pants, and a t-shirt. Shorts are allowed as long as they are not too revealing, but no basketball shorts or spaghetti straps are permitted. Cell phones and air pods are not allowed on the floor, but you may use a speaker at a reasonable volume. The digital area is air-conditioned, but the rest of the facility is not. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
