**Immediate openings: Weekend Press Assistants, Machine operator** **Must be willing to train Mon- Thurs 5am - 3pm** **Weekend shift Fri, Sat, Sun- 5Am- 5Pm** **Exciting Pay Rate!** **Job Description** We are looking to add Press Operator Assistants to our Weekend shift. This role involves helping to operate the press machine, loading parts, setting measurements, and starting the press process. Once the process is over, you will prep the finished product and put it on a pallet for shipping. The machines are already set up, so no setup is required. This position requires strong attention to detail as everything is tracked by paper, and you will also need to inspect parts for quality. **Responsibilities** + Help operate the press machine. + Load parts, set measurements, and start the press process. + Prep finished products and put them on pallets for shipping. + Track work orders by paper and stay organized. + Inspect parts for quality. + Drive the pull truck or 'carpet puller' when needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in production, machine operation, inspection, tape measure, assembly, and printing press. + Strong attention to detail. + Ability to perform quality checks. + Mechanical ability. + Forklift experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in machine operating. + Ability to maintain organization and track work orders. + Capability to inspect parts for quality. **Why Work Here?** This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement. We offer shoe reimbursement of up to $100 per year. Top-rated press operators can achieve earnings in the mid $30s per hour within less than five years if they apply themselves. **Work Environment** This position is in a manufacturing environment. The weekend shift is Fri/Sat/Sun from 5 AM to 5 PM, with training Monday-Thursday from 5 AM to 3 PM for 4 to 6 weeks. Overtime is scheduled as needed, and breaks include (2) 10-minute breaks and (1) 20-minute paid lunch break. The facility can get slightly cold or hot, as it is not completely temperature controlled. The dress code includes steel-toed/composite shoes, pants, and a t-shirt. Shorts are allowed if they are not too revealing, but no basketball shorts or spaghetti straps. No cell phones or air pods are allowed on the floor, but a speaker can be used at a reasonable volume. The digital area is air-conditioned, while the rest of the facility is not. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
