Key Responsibilities:
+ The Overnight Shelter Associate is responsible for accurately maintaining a shift report log and documenting any events during the shift.
+ Responding to Shelter residence and forwarding them to appropriate person or department
+ The Over night Shelter Associate will help guide people to processing stations
+ Assisting emergency teams making sure families are orderly and are reporting to correct areas
+ Help residents with appointment keeping
What You Bring:
+ Bilingual Haitian or Spanish capacity is a strong plus.
+ Must be self-motivated, well-organized, punctual, and skilled at time-management.
+ Ability to communicate effectively and creatively with adults and children of varying ages.
+ Experience with emergency shelter programs for homeless and individuals including individuals who are experiencing homelessness, or mental illness,
+ High-level of comfort working within a diverse and multicultural population.
+ Ability to follow direction and guidance and work as a member of a team.
